We’re the Waltons—the family behind Dead Wax Candle Co based out of Traverse City, Michigan. Candles and music have always been part of our life, so blending the two felt natural. Inspired by our record store, RPM Records, the name “Dead Wax” comes from that smooth, quiet space on a vinyl record.

Our five kids and three dogs keep our home loud, lively, and full of laughter. Making candles started as a way to bring a little calm and cozy into the chaos, and now it’s grown into something we’re proud to share with you.

Every candle we pour carries a memory, a melody, or a seasonal moment we love. We hope when you light one, it feels like a favorite song playing in the background—warm, familiar, and just right.
